This new performance cruiser, that joins Nautor Swan’s existing 80FD and 80S models, is designed for fast long-distance sailing to any part of the globe. In addition to the exceptional build quality and top level interior associated with the Swan marque, this model also offers long-distance cruising features including a protected cockpit, increased tank capacity, full-beam engine room and extensive storage areas. Much of this is achieved by locating the engine room below the raised saloon, which provides significantly increased volume compared to the flush decked Swan 80FD.

Construction employs the latest resin infusion technology and materials, with the hull made of pre-preg carbon to create a structure that is stiff and very strong, yet lightweight. Renowned designers German Frers drew a hull with a long waterline length and fine forward sections that present minimal resistance. The performance torpedo bulb keel is of the type employed by the latest high-end raceboats, while a generous sailplan will ensure fast passage times.

Below decks there’s an elegant raised saloon that offers spectacular views even when seated inside. In addition, there are three beautiful en suite guest cabins, plus the owner’s spacious full width master stateroom aft. Crew are accommodated in a dedicated area forward of the fully enclosed galley. The standard interior is in light oak and is bright and airy, with an abundance of hull windows and deck hatches.

The deck layout includes a separate centre cockpit for guests, as well as generous areas for alfresco dining and sunbathing. The boat sports a towering four-spreader carbon rig that sets non-overlapping jibs and masthead asymmetric spinnakers in addition to the giant fully battened mainsail. Most of the sail handling is carried out from the aft cockpit, which has twin wheels and two pairs of powered winches. A hydraulic opening transom platform provides easy access to the water and safe boarding from the tender.
