The Yacht Harbour Association (TYHA) has announced that Jachthaven Wetterwille has achieved 5 Gold Anchors after a recent assessment.

Jachthaven Wetterwille, together with Interboat Holland Marina, is situated on the lakeside in Loosdrecht, an old established boating centre within easy reach of Amsterdam. The marina provides quiet and sheltered berthing for its customers, with full services and excellent facilities on-site.

Gareth Turnbull says: “Congratulations to the Wetterwille team, it’s clear that berth holders are valued here. This showed through with our mystery shopper reporting that staff were “genuinely friendly, enthusiastic and professional.” The marina is currently undergoing further expansion with a new dry-stack facility due for completion in the new year.”

Marina facilities include workshops and storage sheds, restaurants and even a hairdresser, with a fuel service through a refuelling point on the Loosdrecht Lakes. The whole site gives an impression of care and reflects a desire to constantly upgrade the facilities.

To match the Blue Flag award already in place, Jachthaven Wetterwille now also qualifies for the ICOMIA Clean Marina award, reflecting the high standard of environmental policies and practices.

The marina is run by the owner, Mieke Vleugels, who has a very “hands-on”, personal approach with her clients. Being CMM qualified, Mieke encourages training for her staff who also uphold a high standard of customer service.

Mieke Vleugels says: “We are honoured to have been awarded 5 Gold Anchors by TYHA and regard it as a much appreciated reward for the work we continue to put in improving our marina and facilities.”
