| The Next Level, the final end of season party hosted at the Cúpula Las Arenas in Barcelona´s Plaza de España last Saturday, put a perfect end to the 2011 Audi MedCup Circuit with a prize giving ceremony for winners Quantum Racing and Iberdrola Team and the second and third teams in the overall standings. | ||
| The 2,800 square-metre area in the brand new Cúpula Las Arenas, in the former bull fighting arena, was the scenario for The Next Level, the prize giving ceremony and end of season party for the 2011 Audi MedCup Circuit.
Some 700 guests gathered, including owners like José Cusí, Pedro Mendonça, Niklas Zennstrom or Alberto Roemmers with sailors like Ed Baird, Jochen Schumann, Tomaso Chieffi or Markus Wieser, as well as personalities like Russian fashion designer Konstantin Gayday or key institutional and media representatives, all not wishing to miss out on the special occasion. Mayte Fandos, Deputy Mayor for Life Quality, Equality and Sport for the Barcelona City Hall, Lothar Korn, Marketing Director of Audi Group and Manuel Caballero, President of Audi Spain handed the prizes to the winners under the ceremonial guidance of the former South African model and German TV presenter Jo Ann Strauss. The night started with a champagne dinner cocktail, accompanied by La Vella Dixieland´s live music band and then continued with stunning acrobatic performances and the hugely popular band, The Tall Tutsies, front lined by Luis Doreste, the Spanish Olympian sailor and skipper of www.visitmalta.com. |
